Hello 8 years of age (ie. blog is 8 years old)

Woah, 8 years old. If this blog was a kid, it'd be in like Primary 2 learning stuff like fractions!
Well I'm sore all over from a crazy workout I mixed together for myself a couple of days ago (literally, everytime I bend my arms and extend them back, my biceps are sore...ahah).

So reviewing 6 months ago, I started forcing myself into playing more video games and enjoying the moment rather than feeling guilty for not constantly working. Good thing is I'm definitely playing more computer games (Well, I was until recently, but that's mostly because I've got this new obsession of learning about self myofascial release... it's a long story) and I'm not as overwhelmed as before. I think I've finally come to terms with the idea that I'm going to be overwhelmed every now and then. Like, when it happens I'm like "about time!" instead of "oh my goodness, not this again!".

I've been working hard getting my Olympic Lifts (well the snatch) technique, I'm still working on it but I'm happy with the challenge. As I said before I'm a very "how far can I push myself" kind of guy and this lift is definitely kicking me in the ass :)  I'm also (soon to be) a proud owner of Nike Romaleo 2.0 shoes (my friend is bringing them from the US in a week's time) and man I'm absolutely loving these shoes (borrowing one of the trainers at my gym's shoes for now). I also bought myself a new little toy -- a reaction ball. I know this sounds freaking lame but I have so much fun with this thing it's insane. The first time I played with it I literally spent 25 minutes going at it without realizing it. To the point I had to force myself to stop (fatigue wasn't enough haha).

So yeah, that's my new obsession.

I have around 3 weeks before I ship out to my fun little Asia Pacific Adventure.
I'm super excited about it, nervous as heck and mostly don't know what to expect. I've never been out of HK for so long at a go, I don't know what the crowds will be like and I definitely have no idea what will happen. Luckily, I get to hang out with a lot of my Asian comedy buddies during all these shows, so that makes life easier. But who knows, none of us have been around each other for this long either! Ahahaha.

So far these last 6 months has been a very good growth for me. In general, I've learned to take better control and charge of my mind and emotions. I don't get annoyed/frustrated as easily and I don't feel so overwhelmed anymore. I've learned to listen to myself more where at night I try my best (I have failed many times still, mind you) tell myself "don't worry, I can finish it off tomorrow". I've literally had to re-condition myself to procrastinate a bit. It's insane.

On a brighter note, I've started writing more comedy than before and generally hitting open mics for a quick trial of some ideas before I go back and refine them.

I've got my hands on quite a few fun web design projects that have given me a lot of creative freedom (allowing me to not only experiment with new tools available, but also different techniques).

Now, all I need to aim for is getting everything completed before 17 March 2015 so I can board that plane in peace and get ready to be funnier for 6 full weeks.
For all you know, I might come back to HK as a mute or a hermit after this adventure. Or I may come back as a rock star.
Or just as myself.

That's the beauty of adventures, you don't know until you finish it.
Much like those choose-your-own-adventure books.

So let's gooooo!
